- In writing
- Visiting addresses and opening times
Telephone contact
The municipality's general telephone number is 14 070, available Monday to Thursday from 8.30am till 17.00 , Fridays from 8.30 am till 16.00.
When you call from abroad please dial +31703009000
The Reporting and information centre
14 070 is the telephone number that you can call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
One of the improvements in the municipality's service provision is the menu driven telephone reporting and information centre. You know the routine: "For information about passports, press 3." It has been proven that the caller obtains the desired information or is connected to the right person much faster. And it keeps the lines open for the next caller.
Neighbourhood management, Public Spaces Reporting Point
14 070 is the telephone number for reports, questions and comments about (the maintenance of) public spaces. Loose pavement slabs, broken park benches or an out-of-order streetlight.

E-Mail or letters?
When do you send a letter and when could this be an e-mail?
For many cases you can use special forms or send us an e-mail message, but not all circumstances allow this fast way of submitting your request. Formal matters, including letters of objection, must be sent to the municipality in writing (which means by letter).
Formal questions are sent by letter. Consider here:
- objection letters in the sense of the General Administrative Law Act;
- requests for orders and subsidies (unless the municipality has expressly indicated otherwise);
- request for donations or other contributions (that can be valued in cash terms);
- complaints about the council, or its individual members, and about executives.
E-mail may be sent in the case of:
- involvement reactions and opinions on planned decisions, unless the law specifies that these must be submitted in writing;
- reports and complaints to departments that offer this facility on the municipal website;
- informal requests for information;
- informal communications.
Reports or questions using the e-mail form
To ensure that the right department can deal with your question or comment as quickly as possible, you can choose one of the e-mail forms prescribed here:
- A question or comment about the municipality's products and services
- Report or complaint about public spaces
- A general information question to the municipality
- A question or comment about this website
